Alexandros Xenophontos (b.1996, Cyprus) is a multidisciplinary artist, architect and educator. Working across installation, performance, sculpture, and 3D animation, Alexandros' practice explores the intersection of critical infrastructures and myth-making. Drawing connections between past and present media, Xenophontos utilises hybridity as a storytelling device through critical engagement with conditions of spatiality and temporality.
In 2018, Xenophontos founded Endrosia, a long-term research project examining collective artistic production in Cyprus. The collective’s research materialises through independent publications, exhibitions, and performances, while its project space in Nicosia hosts exhibitions, events and collaborative programmes by local and international artists. In 2024, Endrosia formed part of the Cypriot representation at the 60th Venice Biennale. Most recently, Xenophontos co-curated ‘endrasis 2026’, an experimental programme at Endrosia Project Space, that brought together eight local and international artists through a four-month series of workshops, performances and exhibitions.
Alexandros has taught on the architecture programmes of Central Saint Martins and the University of Cyprus, and has exhibited at the 60th Venice Biennale, Nicosia Municipal Arts Centre (NiMAC), Lethaby Gallery, Rocha Gallery London, Endrosia Project Space and SPEL.
