Walls so thin I can almost hear them breathing, examines the fragile and elusive thresholds of time through grief, the politics of urban beautification and data-centric governance.  A pendulum – fluctuating between life and death, construction and demolition – allows objects to pierce through the temporal walls of public, personal and institutional spheres and transcend to new spatial arrangements, situated between fiction and reality.

The film examines the fragile and elusive thresholds of time through grief, the politics of urban beautification and data-centric governance. A pendulum – fluctuating between life and death, construction and demolition – allows objects to pierce through the temporal walls of public, personal and institutional spheres and transcend to new spatial arrangements, situated between fiction and reality. The film uses an extensive photogrammetry archive, accumulated over a period 2 years and recording the gradual beautification of Trikoupi Street; one of the most crucial street vessels of Nicosia’s old city center.
